Sub-Merchant Registration Service

This guide is right for you if you are:

  • Implementing a J.P. Morgan Payments' Payments Facilitator solution
  • Leveraging J.P. Morgan Payments' Merchant Services and Treasury Services for Payins and Payouts
  • Being registered by J.P. Morgan Payments as a Payment Facilitator (PayFac) with the Card Networks
  • Building a payments business where you own all of the Merchant Know Your Customer(KYC)/Anti-Money Laundering(AML), Underwriting, and Risk obligations, as well as the end-to-end Merchant experience

The following integration steps cover how to: integrate with the WePay API to register your merchants, register and off-board merchants to the Amex OptBlue Program if needed, and conduct MATCH screening for your merchants. By the end of this guide, you will be able to successfully register a merchant; and be ready to continue on with your J.P. Morgan Payments integration.

As a PayFac, you'll integrate with the WePay API, the J.P. Morgan Payments' Merchant Solutions Host, and the Treasury Services Host. Collectively, these three integrations will fulfill four key functions:

  1. Register Sub-merchants
You (the PayFac) will register sub-merchants by using the WePay API
  2. Process Transactions
Customize your authorization and settlement connection according to your own product requirements
  3. Get Reports
J.P. Morgan Payments' Merchant Services and Treasury Services will make data available via portal, API, and automated file delivery
  4. Receive Funding
In your Treasury Services account, you will receive funds from Merchant Services for card transactions (authorized and settled)
With a direct integration with the Treasury Host, you will then send funding to your sub-merchants using the appropriate method of payment
